Otto Bock USA turns 50!

Otto Bock took the first step towards establishing a global brand at a time when globalisation was still an unknown term for medium-sized family enterprises in Germany. CEO Dr. Max Näder and his wife Maria first travelled to the United States in 1956. Their second visit led to the founding of “Otto Bock Orthopedic Industry, Inc.” in Minneapolis on February 21, 1958.

Otto Bock USA is the oldest among the Otto Bock HealthCare subsidiaries. Development of the Minneapolis subsidiary started out as a gentleman’s agreement.
