When stability and extensive immobilization of the hand in a functional position are required in case of wrist irritation or distortion, carpal tunnel syndrome, or paralysis of nerves in the hand, our Wrist Orthosis Manu Forsa Volar 50P12 ensures a high level of stability of the wrist and hand in both the palmar / dorsal and the radial / ulna planes.
A flexible plastic reinforcing insert and a Y-shaped anatomically pre-shaped volar metal splint serve as stabilizing elements and support for the wrist. Small clasps on the end of the Y-splint enclose the medial and lateral edge of the palm (metacarpal II and metacarpal V) so that the movement of the hand is significantly restricted in both planes and largely immobilizes the wrist in both planes. For comfortable, anatomical positioning, the palm rests on a heart-shaped pad which is attached with hook-and-loop tape.
The Manu Forsa Volar offers your patient comfort based on the combination of advanced design and soft, skin-friendly, velour material. The orthosis is extremely lightweight and minimalist design reduces heat buildup – helping to increase patient compliance.
The circular hook-and-loop closures make it easy to put the orthosis on and take it off easily and quickly with the sound hand and also permit continuous adjustment of the level of stability.
