The Acro Assist Arm Abduction Orthosis 50A1 enables functional shoulder positioning with arm abduction at 30°, 60°, or 90° to support overall therapy goals. The design reduces stress on the shoulder by supporting the arm at the torso.  With its special frame construction, the Acro Assist is not only stable but also very lightweight – the medium size is just 650 – to improve the patient’s comfort.

Easy Handling

You can quickly and easily adjust the abduction wedge with the hook and loop tape to change the desired abduction angle. The belts can be precisely adjusted just as easily. If required – for female patients, for example – the shaped body section can be cut out in the chest area. In case of obese patients, additional straps that are included can be used to further adjust the shoulder and neck supports.

We equipped the Acro Assist with functional Y-hook-and-loop closures on the ends of the straps for easy everyday handling. Combined with the pull loops on the waist and shoulder straps, this makes it much easier for your patient to put the abduction orthosis on and take it off. The practical grips on the closures make opening and closing them easier. At the same time, the appealing design improves patient acceptance.

Indication

  • Post-operative and post-traumatic conditions of the shoulder and arm region that require abduction positioning of the arm, including conditions following rotator cuff plastic surgery, reduction of anterior luxations, or subcapital humerus fractures
