The Genu Arthro unilateral leg orthosis functions according to the classic three-point principle and is used in case of medial and lateral gonarthrosis. Due to the long lever arms, it is possible to effect a pronounced relieving valgus or varus movement with very little force in order to relieve the affected compartment of the knee joint.
Multiple studies have been completed, in particular in regards to medial gonarthrosis, which have proven the effectiveness of valgizing orthoses.
