When buying a new C-Leg, you can choose between the standard three-year warranty and the extended five-year warranty. In addition, positive experiences over the past few years have shown that the new C-Leg with the anthracite-colored frame only requires a service check by an authorized specialist dealer every 24 months. Please note: For every C-Leg of the previous generation - recognizable by the silver frame - the twelve-month service intervals continue to apply.
The owner can make warranty claims against all Otto Bock distribution companies. You therefore profit from a virtually global mobility warranty. Even in case of longer stays in foreign countries, problem-free service is guaranteed in case of problems.
In order to maintain the warranty offered by Otto Bock, you must adhere to the mandatory service checks with no exceptions. Of course these services are free for you during the warranty period. The service check includes an inspection, replacement of worn out parts, and any necessary repairs of the hydraulics, electronics, and mechanical components. To ensure you are mobile during this time, Otto Bock will make a free service knee joint available to you via your prosthetist.
