Leading baby show welcomes Ottobock to line-up in a UK first
One of the UK’s leading consumer shows for new parents is breaking new ground by announcing mobility specialists Ottobock as one of its key exhibitors.
The Baby & Toddler Show, in association with Emma’s Diary, takes place at Sandown Park, Esher, from April 12 to April 14, and welcomes around 12,000 families and expectant parents through its doors. This year, Ottobock will be one of the 130 exhibitors taking part, giving those families with young children with a disability a chance to find out more about its innovative and stylish Kimba buggy.
The Kimba is designed to support children with disabilities in a number of ways, with premium suspension to prevent jolts which may cause seizures, padding and support for the back and neck and also supports for the hips and knees — and it achieves all this while also looking colourful, stylish and fun. It can also be detached from its wheel base and transferred to the Kimba Cross base, allowing for off-road adventures.
Simon Tempest, Head of Mobility at Ottobock UK, said: “We’re so excited to be a part of the Baby & Toddler Show this year. By having Kimba on display, families with a child who has a disability, and expectant parents who may already know their child will be born with mobility impairment, will be able to get all the information they need as they prepare for their new arrival — from what products to use in baby’s bath through to our mobility solutions.
“For a long time parents have had to seek information about our products from specialists, which can be daunting. We hope by being at the Baby & Toddler Show and being included in with everything else babies and toddlers need, this will help parents of children with disabilities feel more included too.”
Clare Barker, Group Show Manager at the Baby & Toddler Show added “We are delighted to be working with Ottobock UK and look forward to welcoming them to the show this week. The Kimba is brilliant and we feel honoured to be able to introduce expectant and new parents to the brand, in an environment where they can see, touch and test the buggies.”
