Ottobock joins Recare in offering custom contoured seating service
Leading mobility retailer Recare has expanded its ongoing relationship with Ottobock to provide a new service at its Oxfordshire headquarters.
Having joined forces at the disability expo Naidex for the last two years, the two companies are now collaborating on a new specialist custom contoured seating clinic, which is expected to open at the end of the summer at Recare’s main showroom in Long Hanborough.
The Southern Private Seating Clinic will enable Recare to offer an extra level of service to its customers and achieve a bigger impact in the rehabilitation sector, while Ottobock will be able to increase its provision of seating systems and product range through case managers, solicitors, occupational therapists and private end users.
The creation of the clinic has been made possible thanks to the company’s purchase of another business premises adjacent to its existing home, creating more space for its existing services and new space for the clinic as well as a service and repair centre for the ReWalk exoskeletal rehabilitation suit.
Richard Holland-Oakes, CEO and managing director of Recare, said: “We are thrilled to be developing and nurturing our partnership with Ottobock in this way. The clinic provides a wonderful opportunity for us to offer current and future customers with a complete service for all their needs.
“The current market is very competitive and being able to invest in all different sectors gives us the biggest potential for success going forward.”
David Barton, commercial manager at Ottobock’s special seating production unit, said: “Ottobock has been providing high quality custom contoured seating for more than 25 years and we are delighted to be working with Recare on this exciting new clinic. As a high-quality service provider, they are ideal partners for this venture.”
